Skills and Content
The curriculum is a blend of theory, demonstration, and intensive hands-on practice. Participants will learn to:
Assess an emergency scene for safety.
Recognize major medical emergencies like heart attacks, strokes, and choking.
Perform high-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants.
Safely operate an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
Manage life-threatening bleeding, shock, burns, fractures, and other common injuries.
Modules cover the principles of first aid, responding to medical emergencies, treating injuries, CPR techniques, AED operation, and practical, scenario-based skill-building.
Assessment and Certification
Assessment is conducted through a practical skills evaluation where participants must successfully demonstrate critical first aid and CPR techniques. Upon completion, they receive a Certificate in First Aid, CPR & AED, which is typically valid for two years and confirms their competence as a first responder.
