First Aid, CPR & AED

This essential, hands-on training program equips participants with the skills and confidence to respond effectively to medical emergencies. It covers the three key pillars of emergency response: First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). The course is designed to prepare individuals to act decisively in a crisis, from minor injuries to life-threatening situations, until professional medical help arrives.

Target Audience

This course is vital for everyone but is especially recommended for workplace first aiders, safety officers, teachers, childcare providers, parents, industrial workers, and anyone who wants to be prepared to save a life. 🦸‍♀️

Skills and Content

The curriculum is a blend of theory, demonstration, and intensive hands-on practice. Participants will learn to:

  • Assess an emergency scene for safety.

  • Recognize major medical emergencies like heart attacks, strokes, and choking.

  • Perform high-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants.

  • Safely operate an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

  • Manage life-threatening bleeding, shock, burns, fractures, and other common injuries.

Modules cover the principles of first aid, responding to medical emergencies, treating injuries, CPR techniques, AED operation, and practical, scenario-based skill-building.

Assessment and Certification

Assessment is conducted through a practical skills evaluation where participants must successfully demonstrate critical first aid and CPR techniques. Upon completion, they receive a Certificate in First Aid, CPR & AED, which is typically valid for two years and confirms their competence as a first responder.
